Blizzcon 2015 is only a few months away and one of the features we all love from Blizzard’s annual gathering are the gaming tournaments. The Warcraft arena tournament pits 3 player teams from across the globe against each other for a huge cash prize and the glory of being crowned Arena Champions in live finals at Blizzcon. The qualifiers kicked off last week in North America and now it is time to start the qualification process in Europe.
It’s not just a tournament for professionals though. If you think you and your friends have got what it takes to compete in the tournament then there are 3 qualifiers that you can take part in, each hosted by ESL, to try and reserve your place in the finals. Success in the qualifiers will allow you to advance to the European Championship where you will not only be competing for a spot at the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship at Blizzcon but also a huge $100,000 USD cash prize.
The first of the online qualifiers is on August 2nd. Sign up ends July 30th and 2 teams will qualify from this tournament and you can register for that here. The second takes place on August 16th. Sign up ends on August 13th and the top 3 teams will qualify from this one, sign up here. The final qualifier is on August 23 and sign up ends August 20th, again 3 teams will qualify from this one and you can sign up here.
So whether you’re a professional team or just fancy a crack at it, be sure to get signed up. You just need to make sure you and your team has an arena rating of at least 2100. If you’re just interested in watching the tournaments then check out ESL’s coverage of the online qualifiers. We’ll be watching too!!
