A retailer in the UK suffered internet woes this past week, as their pre-order page was kicked offline due to the excessive amount of traffic from gamers looking to purchase the Pip-Boy edition of the highly anticipated Fallout 4.
Yesterday morning, UK retailer GAME (which won exclusive rights to sell this special edition) announced that it would begin taking pre-orders for the Pip-Boy edition, which comes bundled with a real-life replica of Fallout’s famous personal computer.
Yet, as soon as the site was launched, it experienced heavy traffic from interested gamers and crashed almost instantly.
GAME took to its Twitter account to explain the situation, stating “Due to increased number of dwellers trying to access Vault 111 we are experiencing some issues. Please bear with us.”
At the time of this article, the site continues to experience connection issues.
Fallout 4 will launch on November 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
