Gears of War fans get remastered
At E3 this year, Microsoft gave tattoo-sporting Gears of War fans a chance to have their old, war-battered Gears ink touched up by tattoo artist Steve Soto. Microsoft chose the winners and had them come by the San Diego Comic-Con for their "remasters" as well as to share a few words with Rod Fergusson, the studio head at The Coalition. This all ties into Microsoft's promotion for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, a re-imagining of the original Gears of War for Xbox One. It also comes just after The Coalition's SDCC panel where they showcased just how they were going to re-imagine Gears of War's graphics for their Ultimate Edition. Fans were also given the chance to play two multiplayer maps from the remaster, Process and Raven Down, running in 1080p and 60 frames per second.
