It has been announced that the fourth episode of Life is Strange, entitled “Dark Room,” will be released on July 28th. Ahead of the episode’s release, a new trailer has been revealed.
Dark Room follows Max as she investigates the disappearance of Rachel Amber. The official synopsis from Square Enix states: “Max realizes that changing the past can lead to painful consequences and that time is not a great healer. Her investigation into the disappearance of Rachel Amber begins to reach a thrilling conclusion as she finds the Dark Room. Will the answers lie within? Or will there just be trouble?”
Dark Room will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The episode will cost $4.99. Those who own the Life is Strange five-episode season pass will receive Dark Room at no additional charge. Gamers can also buy the game’s first episode for $4.99, and buy the rest of the season for $16.99.
Square Enix has also announced that Life is Strange has sold 1 million copies since the first episode released in January. It is unclear if this includes sales of individual episodes, or season pass purchases. The publisher stated that “This is a huge achievement for the small team working on the game.”
Life is Strange Episode 4: Dark Room will release next week on July 28th. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
