After a statement released on Monday, Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid V will be available for the public to play at Gamescom 2015.
The statement comes from Konami general manager, Martin Schneider, who said, “Konami is going to present two stunning games for the current console generation at the most consumer exhibition in the world, and further showcase Konami’s commitment to bringing AAA-titles to the consumer.” The second game mentioned by Schneider is Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 which will join MGSV in their first ever public playable demonstration.
The newest outing in the Metal Gear series is set to change the dependable stealth-based linear gameplay of old with a new open-world setting where player preference is key. Konami released a video earlier this month showing the different ways players can complete missions in MGSV, allowing for a more intuitive gameplay experience.
Metal Gear Solid V will be available for purchase come September 1st, with Pro Evolution Soccer due for release shortly after on Sept. 17th. Gamescom will take place in Cologne from August 5th to the 9th, so if you simply can’t wait until September, you better get yourself to Germany.
