Microsoft makes major cuts, but Xbox unaffected
Microsoft is a business like any other. Sometimes when changes have to be made, there are unfortunate choices decided that lead to some job cuts. Luckily for Xbox fans, none of the recent cuts at Microsoft made their way over to the gaming brand.In a press release by Microsoft, it was confirmed that approximately 7,800 jobs would be cut from the company. The majority of them from the phone business section. The company stated that they wanted to restructure the Nokia brand and other Nokia services. Overall, this is part of an even larger shift in priorities for Microsoft. They even went as far as to state that they would be transferring some assets to Uber.
