It was announced this weekend at Comic-Con that Hollywood actor Ben Affleck will not only don the caped crusader’s mask, but he will write his script as well. According to Hollywood news site Deadline, “Citing “studio sources,” the publication claims that Affleck–who plays the Dark Knight in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice–is teaming up with DC Comics chief creative officer Geoff Johns for the untitled movie.”
There had been much backlash towards Affleck’s upcoming role in Batman Vs. Superman, with some even going as far as to draw up a petition against Affleck taking the role. Deadline then went on to say that Affleck will most likely begin working on the script later next year.
Affleck previously directed Gone Baby Gone, The Town, and Academy-Award winners Argo and Good Will Hunting.
