Working with the Warhammer’s original creator, Games Workshop, NeocoreGames, the Budapest-based developer behind RPGs like King Arthur and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, has announced their next game will be Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor – Martyr.
The game is described as “intense, brutal, [and] visceral,” placing players in “a grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition.” When the single player is over however, the game continues in “a colossal sandbox game” offering “years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the action-RPG gameplay.”
While no real details have come out yet about the game, we can expect more soon as the game is due for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2016. This is only the most recent game based the Games Workshop table-top strategy game, the Dawn of War series on PC and the hack-and-slash Space Marine being only a recent few.
