The 1TB Ultimate Player Edition of the PlayStation 4 will be on sale in the UK from the 15th of July, costing £349.99.
Sony have confirmed that for a short amount of time, at certain participating retailers, the console will come with PlayStation TV; this allows the player to stream from the console to a second screen.
Back in June when the 1TB model was announced by Sony, they said it was to give users the opportunity to ‘extend your play with more great add-on content and save, and share even more of your best gaming highlights.’ The larger hard drive will come in handy for adamant PS4 fans, who can look forward to using that extra space on the heavy hitters from the E3 line up – Uncharted 4, COD Black Ops 3 and Assassins Creed: Syndicate to name a few.
As well as having the larger hard drive, the console will generate 230 watts of power (20 watts less than the original) and weighs 2.5 kilograms, which is a little lighter too.
There were two new models of the PS4 approved by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) in June, another 500 gigabyte and the 1 terabyte; these may be released in the US in the future.
