From the developers of Sega and Pokemon, Game Freak, comes a new 2D sidescrolling game – Tembo the Badass Elephant. I’m not kidding you, this is a real game.
Sega announced that the game will be trudging to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on July 21st. You can watch a preview, below.
In the game where you play as a ‘peanut chompin’, villain stompin” elephant called Tembo, stampeding your way through 18 action and humor filled levels, there’s little more to ask for. The slapstick wisecracks and 80’s action-style should appeal to the older players, while the younger users will appreciate the bright colors and a hefty number of explosions.
Sega exec John Clark said in a statement, ‘We don’t think there’s a single game out there with a better name and hope that consumers will stampede the digital marketplaces in order to get their hands on this mammoth adventure.’
Tembo will be available across all platforms for $15, however there’s the opportunity for you to get it cheaper. If you preorder on Steam before July 21st, you can get a 10% discount. Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus users can also receive a 10% ‘launch discount’, though the exacts of that deal are uncertain.
