Sony have now reduced the price of The Last of Us Left Behind from $10 to $5. This is the first time that the expansion has been discounted since its release in May. The reduced price applies to both PS4 and PS3 versions of the game. Sony have not revealed how long the reduction will last so it may be in your best interest to act quickly.
The expansion is a prequel to The Last of Us’ story, following Ellie and her friend, Riley, as they escape from their boarding school and explore an abandoned, post-apocalyptic mall. Reviewer Tom McShea wrote of the expansion that “Left Behind is an excellent addition that gives further insight into the chilling world of The Last of Us and its most interesting character,”.
Sony have also decided to make the map packs for the game available for free for all PS3 users. Anyone playing the game on PS3 will be able to download the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, the Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, and the Double Map Pack entirely for free. These map packs were all included in the PS4 version of the game when it launched.
