Ubisoft excited about Xbox One's backwards compatibility
Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, is happy with the recent announcement by Microsoft that backwards compatibility will be coming to the Xbox One. He states that the ability to play Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One is "very good news."“It’s good news for gamers that Microsoft was able to work on the compatibility aspect. They expect to come with 100 titles quite quickly, so that’s really good news. It will help some of the brands, like Splinter Cell for us, to come to Xbox One, which is great."

Backwards compatibility will be a big boost for video game companies. It will help increase the sales of some of the older titles not available for the current generation of consoles. People will want to buy these older titles as they can now play them on their new console. Companies like Ubisoft are realizing this and embracing the change.
The backwards compatibility feature is currently available only to members of Xbox One’s Preview Program. It will be coming to all Xbox One users this Holiday season.
