In an era where fewer and fewer console games are allowing demos, it is always nice to hear when a larger title lets players try out the game before they slap down the full price. Coming in the form of a post of the PlayStation Blog, SCEA Social Media Manager Sid Shuman talked about his experience hands on with the currently still in progress Nathan Drake Collection, but concluded with the announcement that the collection would land in the form of a demo later this summer.
While no concrete date was given, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is set for release this fall, October 7th and 9th, in Europe and North America, so its likely we wont have to wait to long to try out the demo.
Speaking to the helicopter chase scene from Uncharted 2, the part of the new collection he played, Shuman stated, “Based on what I played, PS4’s copious processing power is helping Uncharted 2 age gracefully. We should all be so lucky as Nate. The new 1080p resolution and generous framerate give everything a clean, crisp, fluid look and feel that flatters the original PS3 version without betraying Naughty Dog’s vision. One might say that this is Uncharted 2 the way it was meant to be played. And yep, that building still falls down real good.”
Will you be picking up the demo? Or are you just fully committed to the wait for Spring 2016 and the release of Uncharted 4? Let us know in the comments.
