Warcraft VR app published by Legendary Pictures
As well as releasing a truck load of news about the Warcraft movie(s) at this year's Comic Con, director Duncan Jones also announced a virtual reality app that allows you to fly over the movie's version of Alliance capitol, Stormwind City. The app is available on Android and iOS and also has trailers for Pacific Rim and Legendary's upcoming Crimson Peaks. You can download it here. You can either make use of Google's cheap virtual reality headset, Cardboard, or simply use your phone's built in accelerometer to simulate virtual reality as you tilt your phone to look around the magnificent setting for the Warcraft movie. It's about one minute long and takes about 400mb of space but it gives you a fantastic glimpse of what to expect from the movie visually ahead of the trailer. Soar over Stormwind City and see the mountains of Elwynn Forest. Watch people go about their day to day business in the various districts of the Alliance capitol. "Warcraft is coming Summer 2016" is the message we're left with, and it can't come soon enough!
