So I don’t usually cover Xbox news but the titles on offer in Microsoft’s summer sale did a good job of turning my head. Starting on Tuesday July 7th, Microsoft will be rolling out 40 to 50% reductions on some major titles on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 with a further discount of 10% for people with Gold membership.
Although specific prices have not yet been announced the list of games includes Assassin’s Creed III, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Diablo 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, Goat Simulator, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Combat X, The Orange Box, Or and the Blind Forest, Slender: The Arrival and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. There is no end date to the sale yet but Microsoft have stated that it will last all summer.
So there is plenty of bang for your buck in terms of discount gaming on Xbox this summer but are they the sort of titles you want to be seeing on offer? If not what would you rather see? If so which ones are you going to be buying? Or are you still getting over the Steam summer sale? Either way discount gaming is bringing triple A titles to a whole bunch of people that may not have been able to afford them before, let me know your views in the comments below!
