The newest EA golf title, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, is scheduled to release on July 14th. Xbox One owners, however, will be able to play the game 5 days before the title releases.
Xbox One owners can play Rory McIlroy PGA Tour 5 days ahead of the game’s release through EA’s membership program EA Access. A membership for the program runs at $5/month, or $30/year.
Players will be able to play the full version of PGA Tour through EA Access. The game can be played for 10 hours. Those who enjoy the game can buy the title for a 10 percent discount, running $54 instead of $60.
Being able to play EA games before they release is one of the perks for being a member of EA Access. Other perks include a 10 percent discount on all EA digital content, as well as access to a dozen free games.
EA Access is currently only available on the Xbox One. Sony stated that EA Access did not offer a strong enough value to PlayStation owners, though the company has stated that the program could come to PlayStation 4 if certain business requirements are met.
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will be available on July 14th. The game will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
