The combat looks better than the previous titles. In the new gameplay video’s description, Bandai Namco’s states,
Players will be immersed into a world of epic atmosphere and darkness through faster gameplay and amplified combat intensity. New to the series are the Battle Arts attacks. You’ll be able to deliver powerful attacks that will break through enemy defenses. Each weapon will have its own unique Battle Arts.
One of the weapons allow for multiple wide swings that attack many enemies. Switching between weapons is done quickly, and will be useful in numerous situations. Unfortunately, for the player the enemies look more deadly, and dangerous than before.
The regular enemies in the Dark Souls 3 look interesting, new, and familiar. The bosses, on the other hand, look quite terrifying. When a giant skull head slowly sticks out from the shadows, that would be my cue to run.
