Destiny drops Dinklage due to "Hollywood nonsense"
Peter Dinklage voiced one of the main characters in Bungie’s hit game Destiny. Dinklage voiced the character, Ghost, but he was recently dropped by the franchise. In a recent interview with Game Informer, executive producer Mark Noseworthy stated that the main reason for dropping Dinklage was due to “Hollywood nonsense”.Noseworthy said nothing but kind words towards Dinklage. The split was necessary, because Bungie felt that they needed a voice actor who could be relied upon more frequently.

Dinklage and all of his lines will be replaced by Nolan North, a prolific voice actor, whose résumé includes Nathan Drake of the Uncharted franchise. Bungie has stated that they would like Ghost to play a bigger role as the franchise continues. Noseworthy said of North that, “We can call him up and say, ‘Hey, next week can we do this thing? We’re doing this internal play test and it would be great to get some dialogue in there instead of that robot voice that we use’, and he’s available”.
Destiny: The Taken King, the next DLC of the franchise, comes out on September 15th, 2015 for $40 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
