The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta will kick off for the PlayStation 4 next week. Ahead of the beta, information on what players can expect has been released, along with a trailer.
The Black Ops 3 beta will include 3 maps, 7 modes, and the ability to play as 8 different specialists. Six of these specialists will be available from the start of the beta, with the other two unlocking later in the beta. Gamers will also get to test out the game’s customization tools, including a paint shop.
The three multiplayer maps in the Black Ops 3 beta include:
- Hunted: This big game hunting lodge is situated beneath a waterfall in the lush mountains of Ethiopia, where rugged terrain opes up to long sightlines and a stealthy underwater pathway.
- Combine: Set in the remote Egyptian Sahara, this vertical farming and sustainability research facility plays fast and frenetic with tight interiors, an open middle and a dangerous flank path.
- Evac: An abandoned emergency evacuation zone atop an overgrown rooftop in the middle of Singapore’s flooded quarantine zone.
The seven game modes for the beta have been revealed as well:
- Team Deathmatch
- Domination
- Demolition
- Kill Confirmed
- Hardpoint
- Capture the Flag
- Search & Destroy
The Black Ops 3 beta will be on the PlayStation 4 first. It will run August 19-23. The beta will then come to the Xbox One and PC, occurring August 26-30. Gamers can gain access to the beta by preordering the game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will release on November 6th. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
