Evolve, the 4 v 1 monster hunting game by 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios, has had a fair amount of success since its release in February. While criticized for its lack of single player content, the game is truly carried by its unique multiplayer gameplay. If you haven’t had the chance to play it yourself, you’ll get your chance in only a few days.
2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios announced that Evolve will be playable for free this weekend. This Labor Day weekend promotion will begin on September 4th at 12:01 AM PT and end on September 6th at 11:59 PM PT. These dates are for Xbox One owners, where as PC owners get to enjoy Evolve for free from September 3rd at 12:00 PM PT to 10:00 AM PT on September 7th. For some reason this special event for Evolve is not available for the PS4 version of the game. Developers have also announced a new “Meteor Goliath” monster that will be released to everyone on September 3rd. Like the weekend deal, he is completely free.
