Grass Effect is coming to PvZ Garden Warfare 2

The Plants vs Zombies franchise has always been famous for its puns and digs at various video game franchises; Grass Effect being the latest of the lot which is an obvious reference to EA’s Mass Effect series.

Grass Effect is a new character coming to Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, but will only be available to players who pre-order the game. Grass Effect is a mech with an N7 assault rifle and Shepard’s Mass Effect armor.

The publisher also unveiled a new mode called Backyard Battleground. This mode is a hub world for the game that allows you to connect with friends and see your achievements and collectibles. In addition, it makes it easier to jump into games together.
