On his birthday, Kojima not only thanked those who wished him a happy birthday, but he also vowed to create games his entire life.On Twitter, Kojima thanked his fans for wishing him a happy birthday: "Thanks everyone, I turned 52 and will keep creating in rest of my life."

On Twitter, Kojima thanked his fans for wishing him a happy birthday: “Thanks everyone, I turned 52 and will keep creating in rest of my life.”
Kojima did not go in detail how he will continue to create after his latest game, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, releases. Reports have stated that Kojima will be leaving Konami after the release of Phantom Pain. Kojima’s next project, Silent Hills, had been canceled after news that he was leaving Konami.
Despite the turmoil within Konami, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain has received rave reviews. The game does not release for another week, but is the joint-highest rated game in the series so far. Konami has stated that the developer will continue to create Metal Gear games, with or without Kojima.
