Hit Japanese title Yo-Kai Watch coming to America in November
Yo-Kai Watch released on the 3DS in Japan back in 2013. The title became popular, receiving a sequel, anime, and more. Now, the hit series will be making its way to the west.Yo-Kai Watch will release in America on November 6th. Yo-Kai Watch is a RPG similar to Pokemon, with players befriending Yo-Kai in order to help others solve problems. Despite the similarities to Pokemon, Nintendo insists that they "are not ghosts, monsters or creatures. Yo-Kai are, quite simply, Yo-Kai. They cannot be seen by the human eye, but they are everywhere. Whether born from the soul of a deceased human, or an everyday object discovering its higher purpose, their personalities are distinctly human-like."

Nintendo originally revealed plans to release Yo-Kai Watch earlier this year. The game is popular in Japan, and has already received a sequel. The sequel released in three different versions, and were three of the six best-selling console and handheld games in Japan last year.
Along with the release of Yo-Kai Watch, Disney will launch an animated series based on the game. The description of that series is similar to the game: it “follows the hilarious misadventures of an average human boy and his involvement with the mischievous Yo-Kai all around him. Our young hero obtains a special watch, empowering him to discover and summon Yo-Kai, befriend them and then work together to solve everyday problems… problems that are often caused by other troublemaking Yo-Kai!”
Yo-Kai Watch will release on November 6th for the 3DS. Also coming are a manga and toys based off of the series.
