Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is to get a new spinoff show. ABC have ordered a new show centering around the character Mockingbird, one of the Agents of SHIELD.
The show will be called Marvel’s Most Wanted and will focus on the character Mockingbird, played by Adrianne Palicki, and her fellow agent Lance Hunter, played by Nick Blood.
The news of a spinoff was reported earlier in the year, but with the decision to keep the characters in the main show it was assumed the project had been left for dead.
The show will apparently focus on the “continuing adventures” of the two main characters, according to Variety. It is unknown how this will affect their appearances in Agents of SHIELD.
This is the latest addition to the Marvel TV universe and comes on top of the renewal of Agents of SHIELD for a third season, which will be released on September 29th. We’ve also got a second season of Agent Carter to look forward to, coming in 2016, and the Netflix show Jessica Jones is expected sometime in 2015 also. This isn’t forgetting the second season of the Netflix show Daredevil, expected sometime next year.
