Very little has been seen of Bioware’s next entry in the Mass Effect series, a trailer at E3 being the only real taste fans have had of Mass Effect: Andromeda. As excitement continues to boil for the game however, the developer took some time to answer a few of the most pressing questions.
Taking to twitter, senior development director, Chris Wynn, answered questions on every topic, including questions about combat and even the game’s story. On the topic of combat he stated it would be along the same lines as Mass Effect 3, “There are some new elements that make it more dynamic, but overall similar feel.”
Wynn also confirmed we won’t be seeing any familiar faces in Mass Effect: Andromeda, as “story wise, it wouldn’t make much sense.” Unfortunately, he could not even declare yet even if the game takes place before, after, or during the Reaper War. To keep fans excited however, he did offer, “There are plenty of non-character connections. Races, stuff like the Mako. Fans will feel at home.”
Speaking to a glimpse of what looks to be a new alien race in the E3 trailer, Wynn jokingly confirmed, “There is something new briefly in there.”
And finally, as for how far along the game is and when we will be seeing more, Wynn, speaking specifically to the voice cast, said, “We haven’t cast anyone quite yet, [we] are getting started now on that process now.” When it comes to more footage, with or without a voice cast, we unfortunately won’t be seeing more of the game for a while however, as Bioware wants “to keep the team focused on building it.”
When we do learn more about Mass Effect: Andromeda, you will find it all right here on Gamespresso. Until we know more however, what do you think of the trickle of information we have had so far? Are you still jittery with excitement? Or are you disappointed because Liara was the one and only reason you ever played a Mass Effect game? Let us know in the comments.
