Metal Gear Solid 5 PC release date moved up to match the console release

This now matches the console release. Konami president Tomotada Tashiro had this to say: "We initially did not think it would be possible to get such an epic game out onto PC in time for launch alongside its console counterparts, but all involved have worked diligently to meet the demands of our PC consumers."

Konami also announced that those who preorder Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on steam will receive the game’s prologue, Ground Zeroes, for free. Also, everyone who purchases the PC version will receive a behind-the-scenes collector’s video and documentary. They will also get a “Venom Snake” emblem and the Mother Base Staff DLC.
More news on Metal Gear Solid 5 should come out this week at Gamescom. Konami is readying a new Mother Base themed trailer for the show on August 5th. The Phantom Pain will also be playable at the event.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on September 1st. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It was recently announced that The Phantom Pain of PlayStation 4 will take up less space than Metal Gear Solid 4 did on the PlayStation 3.
