Konami just announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s companion app. The app will work with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox One versions of the game. It will not be compatible with Xbox 360 or PC.
The app for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be similar to Ground Zero’s companion app, the predecessor to The Phantom Pain.
Konami’s app, which you can download onto your phone, will serve many of the features that Ground Zero’s companion app did. The idea behind the app is to give you another level of ‘dimension’ into the game, and its becoming more popular amongst developers. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s companion app will feature a map that you can look at, as well as listening to music you have unlocked throughout the game.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is launching in less then a week, September 1st.
