Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases tomorrow. Ahead of the release, we have learned more about how microtransactions will work in the game.
New images posted on Metal Gear Network reveals pricing for Mother Base Coins, which can be used in the game’s Forward Operating Base mode. Prices range from $1.65 to $79.95, offering 100 coins to 6,000 coins.
Forward Operating Base is a secondary base where players are able to go head-to-head with each other. Mother Base Coins are used to speed up gameplay. As players get to higher levels, new platforms on the base can take around an hour to generate. Using the coins allows gamers to speed up this process.
Forward Operating Base is not to be confused with Metal Gear Solid V’s other online mode, Metal Gear Online. That mode will release in October.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases tomorrow, September 1st. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game has been met with critical praise, earning high marks across the board.
