Telltale Games is working on a Minecraft spin-off called Minecraft: Story Mode. We knew the game was coming to Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and mobile platforms, but it seems the episodic adventure is also coming to the Wii U.
Developer Telltale Games confirmed on Twitter today that Minecraft: Story Mode will be making its way to a Nintendo console for the first time in the series. The tweet stated: “Story Mode is also downloading to Wii U this fall!” This is also the first time that the series is reaching out to a new platform since Microsoft acquired the franchise.
It is unknown at the moment whether or not the core game in the franchise will make its way over to the Wii U or 3DS.
Minecraft: Story Mode will release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Mac, Android, and iOS. Telltale has already confirmed some of the game’s voice cast, which includes Patton Oswalt, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens.
