Pac-Man 256 launches on mobile today
Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver and Crossy Road developer Hipster Whale have launched Pac-Man 256, a mobile game titled after the famous glitch found on level 256 in the original Pac-Man arcade game. In Pac-Man 256 the player is chased through an endless maze by the glitch. In addition to classic Power Pellets, the game has new power-ups which grant stealth abilities, tornadoes & laser beams.The game is available as a free download on the App Store, Google Play & Amazon stores. Bandai Namco have also provided the option of buying Pac-Man 256 outright, which removes all free-to-play elements.

Hipster Whale has previously worked on the popular mobile game Crossy Road, an ‘endless hopper’ inspired by Frogger. Fans have even created a video to see what it would look like to see in first person.
