Patrick Stewart doesn't believe he'll be Captain Picard again
When the latest Star Trek films were announced, many Star Trek fans were concerned that the original actors would be shoehorn'd into their original roles to hook in fans of the classic series. And while this was partially true of the late Leonard Nimoy, we have yet to see William Shatner come back in some way to the new Enterprise. However, there seems to be one captain that's sunk with her ship for good: Captain Picard. While discussing his latest Starz show called Blunt Talk, Patrick Stewart was asked by IGN if he believes he would reprise his role on Star Trek with the new series of movies. "It’s possible," stated Patrick Stewart. "I think it’s unlikely. But it’s possible. The series wrapped over 25 years ago and we’ve got a rather elderly Captain Picard now. So I don’t know. It would be… it could be entertaining."

Although placing Captain Picard into the recent series of Star Trek movies might be a bit awkward, there is always the chance that the Enterprise-E will fly one more time, especially with older IP’s such as The X-Files and Star Trek being brought back.
