Bethesda’s Pete Hines has stated that “Fallout 4 can top Skyrim”, and that “It could be our biggest release ever. But we will see. It is part of my job to build the megaphone that we hold up to the game, and the game decides how loud it goes. Just how big it is going to be is hard to say. Skyrim was a massively big deal.”
Considering that Fallout 4 was a game that fans had been violently abusing Bethesda about demanding for years it would be no surprise to see sales figures for the game exceed those of both Fallout 3 and the huge hit that was The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.
Despite all the inevitable hype building up around Fallout 4, I am personally more of an Elder Scrolls fan and I feel that Fallout 3 grew tiresome after playing it for a significant amount of time, but that’s an argument for another day. Can Fallout 4 be more successful than Skyrim?
