Sony’s public gaming event, The PlayStation Experience, has been renewed for a second year, with a change of venue and ticket price.
2015’s PlayStation Experience will take place on December 5th-6th, around the same time as last year, but has been moved from Las Vegas to San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center.
Attendees can expect to get hands-on with 2016’s biggest games, as well as already released titles, though a list of playable games hasn’t yet been released. The event will also yield major PlayStation announcements, and patented PlayStation surprises.
Last years event was a pretty big deal, with Sony showing off a tonne of games and making some major announcements, including the debut of Uncharted 4.
Sony recently teamed up with Capcom for Street Fighter V, so the show will also host the Capcom Cup Street Fighter tournament on December 6th. The event coincides with the last stop of the Capcom Pro Tour, where 32 of the world’s top players will compete for a share of the $250,000 prize pool.
Sony also announced that tickets will be cheaper this year. Everyone who registers before September 20th can buy a two-day pass for $60, while after that date, two-day passes will sell for $75.
One-day tickets sell for $45 (Saturday) and $40 (Sunday). A Capcom Cup VIP package is also available, which features front area seating, a Capcom goodie bag, and access to the Capcom Cup after-party. These tickets are available through a $75 add-on to the standard PlayStation Experience pass, totaling a cost of $115.
Tickets are available at the PlayStation Experience website, where you’re encouraged to register with the email associated with your PlayStation Network account. Some special hotel offers for people coming from out of town are also available, check this PlayStation Blog post for details.
