Moving at a slick 60 frames per second, at 1080p, the Gamescom demo for Rise of the Tomb Raider gave us the most complete look so far at just what it will be like to play as Lara when the game comes to Xbox One later this year. Clambering through the shadows, stealth takes on even a bigger importance as new mechanics allow for Assassin’s Creed style aerial takedowns and the good, old ‘distract ‘em with a bottle’ trick.
Near the end of the demo the action ramps up however, showing new weapon choices and all the explosions and violence you could hope for as Lara goes toe to toe with the surprisingly well armed men of the Trinity Organization.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will release November 10th for Xbox One, Spring 2016 for PC, and Fall 2016 for PS4. What do you think of the new demo? Excited for the one-woman army that is Lara Croft? Let us know in the comments.
