Star Wars Battlefront's supremacy mode adds a twist to conquest gameplay
Earlier this week, the official Battlefront blog unveiled the supremacy game mode for Star Wars Battlefront 3. Supremacy will feature Battlefront's largest multiplayer maps and will feel like an all-out clash between ground troops, vehicles, and heroes.Supremacy matches focus around five points on the map. The goal is to capture and hold all five points, or control majority of the points by the 10-minute mark. Each team starts off with two points and must contest for the fifth point, which is in the center of the battlefield. However, supremacy is differs from old battlefront game modes because only two points can be contested at a time. Once one set of points are captured, the battle shifts into another zone on the map.

Dice’s goal is to keep battles focused and ensure that teams are constantly applying pressure to one another. Lead level designer, Dennis Branvall states, “When you spawn into Supremacy, you don’t have to move far to see a lot of friends – and enemies. You’re thrown into a massive frontline, where your screen is filled with adversaries: infantry, Heroes, Walkers, and starfighters. You can prepare for very heavy and focused Star Wars™ action.” Also keeping battles confined in within zones will dissuade players from camping or going off on their own.
Star Wars Battlefront is scheduled to released on November 17th, 2015. However, if you pre-order now, you can gain early access to the planet Jakku map which will be released on December 1st. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until December 8th for the free content.
