Off of Gamescom’s truck, Blizzard had announced that the final entry in the StarCraft II series; StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, will feature a co-op mode that brings “a variety of open-ended cooperative experiences to explore and conquer”. Working together, players will fulfill certain objectives and try to succeed missions together such as base defense, convoy protection and much more. The three revealed “Allied Commanders” that will be working together are Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan and Artanis.
Raynor’s style will have his aggressive land infantry and support units as well as the ability to call upon his flagship the Hyperion and several Banshee to rain havoc on the battlefield. Kerrigan will be right on the front lines decimating all who stand in her path while controlling her underlings through the hivemind. Finally Artanis will be utilizing his flagship the Spear of Adun to attack and defend his warriors, which also helps with his warp ability to bring his warriors to the fore front to defend or destroy.
StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is out at the end of 2015 for the PC, closing the chapters of the StarCraft II storyline with the Protoss and Zeratul’s purpose in the story finally being revealed.
