Technology start-up Titanium Falcon Inc have revealed the “Talon.”
Talon is a the newest video game controller that Titanium Falcon have said “will change the way users play games forever.” The smart ring is worn on the hand and tracks motion with a couple of action buttons on the device, both of which will convert actions to fit a variety of genres.
Titanium went on to explain how the device works; “By using Bluetooth Low Energy technology and 9-axis motion control sensor, Talon smart ring could connect with any smart device (phone, tablet, smart TV, smart watch, PC/MAC, or VR headset), and the ring will convert users’ hand gestures to appropriate input for the game or application.”
CEO and founder Guo Juan stated that he fully believes Talon will have a massive impact on how players interact with games in the future. He said “We believe our touch-less and motion controlled smart ring will change the way users play games forever.”
Talon was also given a rough price; Titanium Falcon hope to sell their controller for “no more than $100.” This is in part to fight the main thing that holds back motion controle; the price. Juan said “currently, in order to play motion-controlled games, consumers must purchase all the expensive hardware: TVs, Wii, Xbox, or Kinect are just a few of them.” Thus it’s important to the company for the price to be minimal.
If you’re interested in purchasing your own Talon, Titanium Falcon will be launching a crowdfunding IndieGoGo campaign for $300,000 later this month. You can subscribe to when the Talon goes up for pre-order on their website.
