Lacing together all three games, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection looks to be on the right track to showcasing Nate’s journey as the grand epic it truly is. Highlighting mostly the connection between Nate and Sully, taking a cue from Uncharted 3 and most of what we’ve seen for Uncharted 4, the story trailer portrays Nate’s progression from a lowly pickpocket to the adventuring thief we know him as today.
Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli introduced the trailer on the PlayStation Blog, saying, “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the culmination of years of hard work at our studio that has been lovingly rebuilt by the team at Bluepoint Games. It’s incredible to watch Drake run, leap, and shoot on the PS4 with enhanced graphics and gameplay.”
Monacelli also talked about some of the new additions to the games, including a Photo Mode, two new difficulty settings (a new Explorer difficulty for new players, significantly reducing the combat difficulty and Brutal difficulty, “the ultimate challenge”, unlocked for each game only after beating the already punishing Crushing difficulty) and a new Speed Run mode, adding “a timer that allows players to track their gameplay time against their friends as they play sections of the game.”
There will also be over sixty-five player skins available for all three games. While codes last, purchasing Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will also grant you access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection hits store shelves October 9th. What do you think of trailer? Ready to jump back in to Nate’s shoes for one more go before Uncharted 4? Let us know in the comments.
