Warcraft: Legion artifact weapons preview
Along with the announcement of World of Warcraft's latest expansion, Legion, came the news of a new type of weapon that will be introduced. The artifact weapons are powerful, famous weapons, once wielded by the heroes of the game that players will now be able to obtain. But that's not all. These weapons will all come with their own unique talent trees so players have rank them up to become more powerful and unlock new abilities stored within the weapons. These aren't just any old weapons either. Paladins will get the chance to wield Ashbringer, the blade of Tirion Fordring whilst as a Shaman you can get your hands on Doomhammer, the weapon of Orgrim and then later Thrall. Everyone will get the chance to earn these weapons so to avoid everybody running around with the same looking weapon, Blizzard are also introducing a range of skins and appearance alterations to the weapons that can be unlocked in a variety of different ways.

Here’s Ashbringer for the Paladins
Felo’melorn is a spell sword for mages
The Eagle Spear is the Druid weapon
Blizzard are also aware that when in bear and cat form a druid weapons aren’t visible so they’ve changed the skins depending on which weapon appearance you’ve selected. Here are some examples of cat form
