The company revealed the new sales figure, up from 4 million copies in it's first two weeks, as part of its latest earning reports. It deserves some rest,” Iwinski said about The Witcher series earlier this month. “The past 10 years the team has been working on swords and castles and medieval Slavic monsters. So I think it’s time for some guns, androids, and some ammo. And a necropolis. So this is what we’ll be working on.”
CD Projekt Red isn’t done supporting The Witcher 3 just yet, however. The first of the game’s substantial-sounding paid add-ons, Hearts of Stone, will launch in October. Combined with the second expansion, Blood and Wine–coming in 2016–players can expect about 30 hours of additional game-play.
