Infection could be the next DLC game mode. The mode was introduced in Halo 3 and was also playable in Halo: Reach, while Halo 4 had a similar mode called Flood. In the mode one player starts out as an infected and tries to kill every living player. Once a player dies they also become an infected; the game ends when there is one sole survivor. This game mode is also popular among other video games series like Call of Duty.
More information will be released by 343 in the coming weeks on new game modes. “We’re continuing to keep a very close eye on your feedback on Waypoint, Twitter, r/Halo, and elsewhere, and prioritizing items within the next update based on said feedback,” the developer said. “Look for more details as we get closer to the release.”
