Dungeon Defenders II will be coming to the PlayStation 4, though it will be releasing in a pre-alpha state.
Dungeon Defenders II will release on the PlayStation 4 on September 29th, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog. The game will still be in development, meaning that some of the features planned for the final build of the game will not be available right away.
“Please note that Dungeon Defenders II is still under development,” developer Trendy stated. “During this time, some features, like local co-op and controller support, will be ahead of the PC version, but other features and content will be rolling in after they are released on PC.”
To play Dungeon Defenders II on PlayStation 4, gamers will need to buy a “currency bundle.” No pricing was given. The final version of the game will be free-to-play, though there will be microtransactions.
Dungeon Defenders II has been available on PC via Steam Early Access since December 2014. The sequel will add new features such as controller support and two-player local co-op.
