In a video published by Treyarch, there’s a timeline of the events and characters for the entire Call of Duty: Black Ops universe. If you haven’t played the previous Black Ops games for a while, or are new to the story surrounding the game, this is a really great way to psych yourself up in preparation for Black Ops 3’s release in November.
It’s a 10 minute video, but it’s more like a book with some music behind it. There’s a lot of text, people. A lot.
The Black Ops storyline spans over 100 years of military and secret service history. It begins with Viktor Reznov’s birth in 1913, and finishes up where Black Ops 2 left off, in the fictional setting of 2025 and the death of Raul Menendez.
The video above doesn’t show anything of what’s to come in Black Ops 3, but you can check out the trailer for it here. We do know, however, that it is set even further in the future, 40 years after what happened in Black Ops 2. 2065 looks very different, and human augmentation is all around you. Also have you seen Nuketown? Yeah it has changed, slighty.
Black Ops 3 launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and on PC on November 6th.
