In celebration of Super Mario Bros.’ 30th anniversary, Google has launched a special Easter egg in honor of the classic platforming game. All you have to do is Google “Super Mario Bros.” See what they did?
After typing the name, an iconic Question Box will appear next to the game name on the right. By clicking the box, a coin pops out (in typical Mario fashion) and that lovely noise rings. While Google has been known to be extra secretive in its little surprises, it appears that clicking this box doesn’t do more than fill your ears with nostalgia.
But you know what? That’s just enough. Happy birthday, Super Mario.
