According to Xbox bigwig Phil Spencer, 2010’s Halo Reach might come to Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
In response to a fan asking about Reach on Twitter, Spencer responded that “I’d like to see it come via backwards compatibility.”
The fan asked Spencer if Reach might be added to the Master Chief Collection. Halo: Reach was not initially apart of the Master Chief Collection as, well, it doesn’t star Master Chief.
Halo: Reach was the last game in the series to be developed by Bungie before being handed off to 343 Industries and serves as a direct sequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. The game stars Noble Team, a group of Spartan soldiers stationed on Reach when the planet fell. Reach was a critical and commercial success as well.
Spencer also teased that Microsoft was hard at work on having backwards compatibility ready for public launch by November.
