Bungie have released update 2.0.0.4 which will fix various bugs and will rework the new Three of Coins item. Bugs fixed by this patch include a problem with uncommon and rare gear not dropping in Year 1 Strikes as well as an issue with players reaching level 40 before turning in the quest for hitting level 30.
The most notable aspect of this patch however is the adjustment to the Three of Coins item. The item is a new consumable which can be bought from Xur each week. The Three of Coins increases the chance of an Exotic engram dropping from your next Ultra kill. Bungie have announced that the item “now provides a smaller increase in Exotic engram drop chance when rapidly killing Ultras.” The change to the item is most likely because of an exploit where players killed a particular Strike boss with an explosive that also killed them. This cause the player to respawn at a recent checkpoint and kill the boss again, making it easy to rack up Ultra kills, and quickly earn Exotics.
