This news was given to IGN, shortly after the announcing of Tatsumi Kimishima as the next president of Nintendo. However, it’s unknown if Tatsumi will be the presenter for Nintendo Directs like Iwata once was, or if another employee such as Reggie Fils-Aime or Shigeru Miyamoto will be the new placeholder for Iwata in future Nintendo Directs.
Nintendo has failed to say whether Tatsumi will take place or not. Usually Nintendo Directs happen multiple times a year for fans to keep up with upcoming games being released. However, we haven’t received a Nintendo Direct on the latest released games from Nintendo such as Super Mario Maker.
