Payday 2 developer's addressing problems Xbox One online matchmaking
Payday 2 on the Xbox One has recently encountered problems with its matchmaking system, leading to the developer Overkill Software issuing an apology to Xbox One players. The developers are working on a solution to the problem, and have stated: "We know you guys are having issues matchmaking in the game. It's frustrating for us, but it's obviously even more frustrating for you,".Almir Listo, a producer for the game, took to reddit to address the situation, saying : "We are currently working on a radical change - a full remake of the matchmaking system which will simplify the way you join games and improve the matchmaking, This is a solution that is built from the ground up, as the previous matchmaking system we have for PS4 and PC doesn't work well with [Xbox One]."

Fixing the matchmaking issues is a priority for the developer, one which they hope to make continuous progress with and fix by the end of the year. “Right now this is our number one priority. Our ambition is to go live with the new matchmaking system and additional fixes within the coming weeks, and no later than the end of the year.”
