What started on the mobile platforms in 2012 as Plague Inc and spread to PCs through Steam last year has finally hit the Xbox One with Plague Inc: Evolved.
Even though it is the same game as its mobile predecessor, Ndemic Creations is quick to state the differences. “… we have been able to add a lot of things which would not work on mobile.” One of those things is allowing you to get up close and personal with the disease using “full 3D disease models taking you closer to your plague than ever before, city-cams showing humanity’s struggle at street level, and the body scanner highlighting the full effect of your mutations, organ by organ.”
Plague Inc: Evolved will cost $14.99, the same as it does on Steam, and Ndemic notes that this version will also include all the paid DLC from the last two years as well as “loads of new content updates that [Ndemic] have planned for the future.”
This new content includes new scenarios and support for custom scenarios, game modes and disease types. Ndemic is also hoping to add the Simian flu from Planet of the Apes which was available in the mobile version, but is currently being held back due to legal issues.
Plague Inc: Evolved is available now on the Microsoft Xbox One for $14.99.
