Following this showcase, it was revealed that the original Castle Crashers game will be available to play on the Xbox One through the backwards compatibility feature. So if you’re a purist, you can pick up the classic version of the game and play that instead of the remastered version.
Finally, it was also revealed that if you own the original game for the Xbox 360 with an Xbox Live Gold account, you can get the game free up until September 20th. After that date you’ll have to purchase it for $5 USD. Without this benefit, you’re looking at $14.99 USD.
